My Top 3 Brands

Hey everyone!

I'm back with a new blog post. This time it's all about my favourite fashion brands! I had to break it down into a top 3 because I just could not talk about just one brand.

This time I will not only include pictures, but I will also add video's of their fashion shows.

My Holy Grail - Jeremy Scott

Scott attended the Pratt institute in Brooklyn and started his career in the late 1990's. Back then most people said that no one would wear his designs, but he proved wrong. Scott did a collaboration with Adidas and became the creative director of Moschino in 2013. Jeremy Scott's designs have been worn by artists like Rihanna, Britney Spears and the Korean girl group 2NE1.

This man's designs are amazing. Let me repeat that A-MA-ZING. My love for his designs started a few years ago when I got my first pair of Jeremy Scott x Adidas sneakers. I hadn't seen anything like it before, and they were totally my style!

I have always been a fan of extreme, colorful and wacky fashion and this brand really fulfilled my needs.

His Fall 2015 collection really caught my attention! The colorful dresses richly decorated with polka dots, stripes and teddy bears were candy to my eyes! I will always use Jeremy Scott's designs as a fountain of inspiration.

Art and Fashion combined

I actually love everything Japan! But this label has intrigued me for a long time now. My classmates have heard me talk about this brand ever since the first day of school. Comme Des Garçons (コム・デ・ギャルソン). I have been hyping about this Japanese fashion label ever since the day I heard about it.

This label started in 1969 and became popular in Japan in the late 1970's. A men's fashion line was added in 1978 and they had their debut show in Paris in 1981. The debut show got them a lot of attention because of the use of black and distressed fabrics.

What makes this label so special? I love their fashion shows. The designs are true works of art. The way they play with shapes and sizes. The a-symmetric designs and fabric combinations, Some people might think it's a bit.. Weird and eerie but I love those dark designs!

Sadly I don't have any items from this label yet.. I'm only a student and their products are really expensive.. But I'm sure I'll get my very own Comme Des Garçons item in the future!

My Pit stop for fashion

H&M is known for it's fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children. H&M has over 3500 stores in 57 countries and is ranked the second largest fashion retailer. H&M has collaborated with fashion designer such as Karl Lagerfeld and VIKTOR&ROLF. They also worked with game designer Maxis to create an expansion pack for the Sims 2 game.

There are a lot of reasons that I like H&M. One of those reasons is the way you can easily combine their items. Their items are also very affordable.

And that's all for today's blog post! What's your favourite brand? Let me know in the comment section below!

Stay beautiful everyone and see you next time!

The stiletto.

Hey everyone!

Let's talk about my favourite shoes, the stiletto. Yes the stiletto, why you ask, because it's the most sexiest out of all the heels you can talk about! Well... that's just my opinion, right.

Did you know that stiletto's are between 2.5 centimetres (1 inch) to 25 cm (10 inches). The heel can even be longer if a platform is used. Heels 5 centimeter or shorter are called Kitten Heels. And a true stiletto heel has a stem of solid steel or alloy

Here's a little bit of history about the stiletto.
Thin high heels were already around in the late 19th century, but we're revived in the 1950's by Roger Vivier. Vivier, also know as "Fragonard of the shoe", designed extravagant richly-decorated shoes. He was known for reviving and designing the stiletto with a thin rod of steel in the heel. Roger designed for Christian Dior from 1953 - 1963. He had customers such as Ava Gardner and The Beatles.

That's quit a bit of history right? But why do I like them.

The stiletto has a few disadvantages like pain, fatigue and can cause hypertension in the lower limbs.. Then why do we keep on wearing them?

The stiletto looks sexy, we can't deny that! It also elongates your legs and I think they make your legs look per-fect

Do you own a pair of stiletto's? I certainly do!

Hope you guys enjoyed this blog post, stay beautiful and I'll see you next time!

Fresh start.

Hey everyone!

First of all.. I want to say sorry for not posting anything for over a year! A lot of things happened in the past year and I just did not have the time and dedication to work on a blog.

I started my fashion course in September 2014 and I really had to get used to going to school again, I worked in a hair salon for around 6 months, visited my family in the Philippines for over 3 months and just wasted my time in the time between coming back and starting school again... But this time I actually want to reach people, share my creations and take you guys with me on my journey.

My English teacher gave us an assignment, make a blog. Perfect! I already made this one and this is the perfect time to continue writing, learning and sharing my opinion and experiences with you guys!

So here it is! My fresh start. I'll do my best to share at least one post a week with you guys and start making more posts when I have the time for it.

Let's make the best out of it :D
